The most commonly used rubber damper, the inertia ring is an external part separated by an elastomer from the central hub part. Based upon the application and engine auxiliary drive layout the central hub can be used as a driving pulley for the auxiliary drive and in some cases, the inertia ring can be used as a driving pulley. The central hub can be designed to fit in the oil seal bush as per the engine oil seal requirement. These types of dampers are generally used on all engine ratings and across all engine applications.
